About the Farm:

Las Lajas coffee is produced in Sabanilla, Alajuela, at altitudes ranging from 1,260 to 1,500 meters above sea level. The farm specializes in micro-lots processed using honey and natural methods, and has recently incorporated anaerobic processes as well.
The owners, Francisca Cubillo and Oscar Chacón, are dedicated to preserving the tradition of artisan coffee production. With socially and environmentally responsible practices, the farm and micro-mill hold a Regenerative Agriculture certification, which means the farm not only uses fewer chemical fertilizers but also enriches the soil using byproducts from the farm and mill itself.
In addition, since pruning and maintenance are done manually using materials sourced directly from the farm, a permanent workforce is maintained, providing ongoing employment opportunities that benefit the local community.
